The focus of this talk is on how to handle the difficult conversations in the workplace, although the principles are universal and can be applied to any type of conflict.
The heart of the talk is to introduce the concept of "The Third Story" that was developed by the Harvard Negotiation Project and developed in their book "Difficult Conversations." I distill the key aspects of their technique and apply it real-time to common workplace situations where the stakes are high and the potential for conflict and adverse effects is real.
The ideal format for this talk is part keynote speech and part facilitated workshop. It is ideal for small leadership team building events, professional networking events, and off-site retreat events.
